Angel's Flight - The Shortest Train Journey in the World
This was the funny little Funicular (twice the fun) railroad that ran from the wonderful Grand Central Market up to California Plaza (near the library) in Los Angeles between 1996 and 2001 - when someone got killed and it was sadly closed.
Truth mirrored fiction, as it had been used as the murder scene a couple of years eaarlier - during the short lifetime of the train - in the eponymous titled book by Michael Connelly.
The train was originally used for several decades somewhere else in the city -- Google it in - to find out way more than I know or can be bothered to find out for you or click here
